Chun-Han (Hank) Yao


I am a PhD student in the Vision and Learning Lab at UC Merced, supervised by professor Ming-Hsuan Yang. My current research focus is on weakly-supervised or unsupervised 3D vision. My past experience spans the fields of multimedia processing, video object detection, domain adaptation, federated learning, and monocular 3D reconstruction. For more information, check Research.


In my research internships, I have worked with Varun Jampani, Jimei Yang, Boqing Gong, and Chen Fang. I have also worked on 3D reconstruction with professor Manmohan Chandraker at UC San Diego, and video temporal consistency with professor Shao-Yi Chien at NTUClick here for my CV.

My non-academic interests include traveling, photography, and badminton, a part of which is shown in Activities.
